Heavy-Laden
Father I'm heavy-laden bound
Trials and tribulation surround,
I need rest on higher ground
Where tranquility abounds.
Lord lift and bear me away
To a peaceful shore I pray,
Open my eyes to Heaven's door
That I know serenity evermore.
My load is so heavy of shoulder
Make your grace ever bolder,
Cast my weighty burdens aside
Revive peace and harmony inside.
My heart is burdened with sin
Let your love light shine in,
Purify my stained spirit within
That a restored life may begin.
Ease my trials and tribulations
Grant me divine salvation,
Make my footsteps a little lighter
And my darkest days brighter.
Take the worldly shackles that bind
From my troubled heart and mind,
Let me hear your heavenly voice,
That in your words I may rejoice.
