He is called by many names
Lifting the glory of His fame
But all in one are the same
When His grace is our aim.
Jesus of Nazareth is our king
Far beyond any earthly thing
And no matter how He is called
By His love we are enthralled.
When afraid and deep in doubt
To The Savior we shout out,
In prayer we invoke this name,
Seeking to escape Satan's flame.
When our soul needs restoration
We turn to Christ for salvation,
He is the saving grace we seek
When this holy name we speak.
As we are filled with guilt and sin
We pray The Redeemer enter in,
Calling this name to wash us clean,
In prayer we plead He intervene.
The Good Shepherd is ever near,
This name is rather simply clear,
As His flock when lost and alone
He leads us along the path home.
The Deliverer is a name known well
He saves the weak from evils spell,
His mighty powers set sinners free,
To be the Christian we desire to be.
The Nazarene knows many names
And when called they are the same
But none sound so sweet as Jesus,
Almighty God's son who adores us.
