Poetry By Ken in Rainbow Colors

You are gone and I walk alone
Facing the years on my own,
With your shadow on our bed
I'm drowning in a sea of dread.

Hillside where you lie sleeping
In desperation I kneel weeping,
My lonely heart aches with pain,
Crushed until I hold you again.

Just surviving is so hard to bear
life is empty without you there,
My tearful eyes never seem to dry,
Each haggard smile worn is a lie.

Wind whispers your name to me
Your face appears in all I see,
I search for you in every crowd,
In dreams I cry your name aloud.

My loneliness knows no bound,
In sorrows thorns I'm wound,
I've no solace from those around
When only heartbreak surrounds.

Sweetheart since you've gone away
They say I'll meet another one day
But not one soul sees what I know,
My love for you will only grow.

Meaningless months will roll to years
And I'll know a lifetime of tears,
Nothing can heal a heart so broken
By deeds done or words spoken.

There will never be another for me
You are my life, my love eternally,
Until we meet again in Heaven dear
May God's Angels hold you near.
