Poetry By Ken in Rainbow Colors

I was lonely and you came
With autumn's rain,
When I needed a love to hold
You came from the cold.

Suddenly you were beside me
Under a sheltering tree
And before autumn was over
Love we would discover.

You came in autumn's chill
My lonely heart to fill,
A season of love was born
On a crisp rainy morn.

Happy days we had together,
Dreams of love forever,
We spoke of marriage things
And chose wedding rings.

Embraced in autumn's mist
We passionately kissed,
Words of love were spoken,
Vows not to be broken.

Hearts seemed to overflow
With love's warm glow,
So much in love were we two
But autumn wasn't through.

Somewhere along love's way
You decided not to stay,
Something changed your heart,
In tears I saw you depart.

Lonely I stand under the trees
Watching blowing leaves,
If only I had someone to hold,
Too warm against the cold.
