Poetry By Ken in Rainbow Colors

I watched you leave today
I didn't know what to say,
Our words had been spoken
And I my spirit is broken.

I watched you leave in tears,
With you went the years,
The years of happiness I knew,
left with you.

I waited for hours it seems
For you to return my dreams,
Staring at the door you walked out of
Hoping you'd bring back my love.

But you won't be back I know
My heart can't will it so,
Never again will I see your face,
Never again your embrace.

I don't know when it went wrong
I believed our love was strong,
I happily lived each wedding vow
But you found a way out somehow.

So here I sit with a broken heart
Not knowing why we had to part,
You had no good reason to leave
Yet here I sit alone to grieve.

I gave you all the devotion I had,
love endured the good and bad,
All I needed was to be your wife,
Now you've ruined my life.

But that was then and this is now
And I must carry on somehow
For no matter how much I yearn
My heart knows you won't return.

And so goodbye my love goodbye
Perhaps with time I won't cry
But for now I feel only sorrow,
How will I face tomorrow?
