Poetry By Ken in Rainbow Colors

We whispered tearful goodbyes
And you winged into the skies,
In fleeting moments we parted
And I am brokenhearted.

Embraced we said goodbye
And I tried not to cry
But darling how could I not
When you're all that I've got.

A vision I will never forget
Was that jet in the sunset
With it's sliver wings aglow
In tears I watched you go.

I watched you slowly disappear
And my heart filled with fear,
Would our embrace be our last?
My heart was beating so fast.

From my arms you flew away,
They ordered you to the fray,
Into harms way you traveled
And my world is unraveled.

Forever you are my everything,
The happiness love can bring
And if I lost you, I'd be lost too,
My life would be through.

I am alone and you are gone
And I dread being on my own
But I'll go on until you're free
To return your love to me.

I wonder where you are tonight
And pray everything is alright,
May God hold you ever nearest
And send you safely home dearest.

Someday we will embrace hello
And never again I'll see you go,
No more will we be torn apart,
Until then my love, until then my heart.
