Poetry By Ken in Rainbow Colors

~*~Through Our Lives~*~

From childhood there's been no others
And soon we'll be wedded lovers,
We were always meant to be together
Our destiny is designed forever.

When the pretty roses next bloom
We will meet as bride and groom
At our little church in the wee glen,
Our life's journey will begin.

After we've shared the wedding cake
A honeymoon cruise we'll take
But the true honeymoon will start
When we return to our glen sweetheart.

We'll build a home by fields of heather
And raise a family together
Contented in our long wedded bliss,
Enjoying the many years of happiness.

When our children are all grown
And the last one has left home,
Grandparents to their babies we'll be
Just two old love birds, you and me.

What great grandparents we'll make
And oh the pictures we'll take,
Filling albums of each generation
Conceived and began by our creation.

As the golden years happily pass
Our loving bond shall ever last
Until our final sunsets wane away
And we grow nearer our final days.

When roses bloom for us no more
We'll meet on Heaven's shore
And continue our walk through life,
Eternally as husband and wife.
