Dream Drifting
Adrift in sweet dreams
Like reality they seem
Sending me through time
To hidden places of mind.
Exploring Shangri-la worlds
My subconscious unfurls
Hurling me pell-mell in space,
To far Eden's my dreams race.
Desires and fantasies unroll
As my fictional dreams scroll
Disclosing secrets long hidden
By conscious thought forbidden.
There are no earthlike binds
To restrain my creative mind
As I journey new vistas serene
In my galaxy of surreal dreams.
Like the flash of a shooting star
My being darts from here to afar
Soared by unbridled imagination
Of my dreams brilliant creation.
In the paradise my dreams find
I leave this drab lifestyle behind
And dwell in unrestricted glory
Of sweet dreams fairytale story.
Long before I finally awake
I will wholeheartedly partake
Of offers to escape this earth
By dreams of fantastic worth.
